2019: A Turning Point

2019 was a major turning point for me.

Last year, I stumbled upon some blog posts about the female solo traveler group and website. That’s how I found out about the Girls LOVE Travel® group. After that, I joined the Girls LOVE Travel® Facebook group. I’m truly glad that I found out about this group. Here are some of the reasons why I love being a member of this community.

I love being part of this community because the members of this group are willing to share their experiences and stories with others. Also, Haley Woods, the founder of Girls LOVE Travel®, her story was very inspiring. She paid off the debt in three years and she’s living the life of her dreams I enjoy reading all these amazing and inspiring stories because all these stories are giving me so much confidence and making me believe that I can do this.

I was going through my old Instagram post yesterday. I saw my post about one of my dream vacations which is New York City from 2017. Well, I can’t believe that my dream came true.

In the summer of 2019, I was going to the US for the very first time. Not only this was my first time going to the US, but it was also my first time went on a plane and going abroad by myself. I was having mixed feelings about my first solo international trip. I felt very anxious, nervous, and excited. As I mentioned above, I was looking for a blog post about solo traveling and found out about this group. I saw so many members of this group shared their experiences about solo traveling, tips for traveling, and much more. Some of the members also gave me recommendations about the places I can visit in the US which I’m very grateful for. My first solo international trip turned out to be the best trip I ever had.

You know how people always said, “Strong women support and lift each other”? I think that Girls LOVE Travel® is more than just a group for everyone to look for recommendations. Many members are being supportive and kind to the other members of this group. For example, when the members in this group needed some suggestions and recommendations, the other members are being very helpful and informative.

Girls LOVE Travel® group provides an opportunity to make new friends. Last year, I was going to Taiwan for the very first time and looking for a place to stay for a few days. A member from the Girls LOVE Travel® and Overnight (Girls LOVE Travel®) reached out to me and willing to let me stayed at her place. We hung out, visit some places, went to Taipei 101, and saw the fireworks together for the first time. If I hadn’t joined this group, I wouldn’t have the chance to meet a nice and kind person like her.

Last but not least, one of the reasons why I said 2019 was a major turning point for me is because I found out about this group. I love being part of this community and getting inspired by reading the posts in this group. It inspires me to dream big, take action, and try to make the dreams come true.
